About me

I am currently a doctoral student and research assistant at the Human-Environment Modeling & Analysis Facility, Purdue University.

I was born and raised in the San Juan metro area, Puerto Rico.

I obtained a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. degree in Tropical Ecology from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.

My professional interests include:

    • New ways of obtaining data continuously using remote stations that require minimal maintenance while providing huge amounts of data
    • Consumer products applied to ecological methods
  • Land-use change and its implications on conservation strategies
  • Science education, particularly ecology and evolution
  • Ecological research with practical applications
